# Consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary and Prayer to St. Maximilian Kolbe
*2022-10-12*

> Bill Young leads a consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary followed by a prayer to St. Maximilian Kolbe, reflecting on their example of self‑sacrificial love.

## Consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Immaculate Virgin Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, to whom God entrusts the whole plan of His mercy, I, an unworthy sinner, prostrate myself at your feet. I humbly entreat you to accept me as your personal belonging and to use me as you will, body, soul, life, death, destiny, and eternity, without reservation. May I become a useful instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands, that your glory may shine through many lost and indifferent souls, and that the blessed kingdom of the Heart of Jesus may reign in as many hearts as possible. Through your intercession grant me the courage to face my enemies. Amen.

## Prayer to St. Maximilian Kolbe

O Jesus Christ, who said, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends,” through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe, whose life illustrated that love, we beseech you to grant our petitions.

St. Maximilian founded the Militia Immaculatae, spreading a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world. He gave his life for a total stranger and loved his persecutors, offering us an example of unselfish love inspired by true devotion to Mary. Grant, O Lord Jesus, that we too may give ourselves entirely, without reserve, to the love and service of our heavenly Queen, so that we may better love and serve our neighbor. Amen.

## Marian Devotions and Closing Prayer

We now pray three Hail Marys and one Glory Be.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

(Repeated three times.)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

*May we follow St. Maximilian’s example of total self‑gift, united with Mary’s love, to bring Christ to the world.*
