# A Prayer for Healing

## Scripture Reading

John 6:44 – “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:50‑58 – “This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the Father has sent me, I live because of the Father. He who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, not that the Father ate and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

## Prayer for Healing

Lord, you invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow your healing hand to heal me. Touch my soul with your compassion for others; touch my heart with your courage and infinite love for all; teach my mind with your wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim your praise. Help me reach out to you in every need and lead others to you by my example. Most loving heart of Jesus, bring health to my body and spirit so that I may serve you with all my strength. Touch gently the life you have created, now and forever. Amen.
