## Why I Could No Longer Stay Silent

I have tried to keep this podcast non‑political, but the current impeachment investigation forces me to speak. The chairman of the Senate committee investigating President Trump allegedly met the whistleblower and guided him on how to present his information. That raises serious questions about bias and possible collusion. I believe the Senate should investigate the committee itself and require the chairman to testify about any prior contact with the whistleblower.

## Historical Parallels and the CIA

Looking back, I see two major events in my lifetime where the CIA appeared to fail: the assassination of President Kennedy and the attacks of September 11. In both cases, there is a perception that the agency either lacked knowledge or chose not to act. If the CIA is involved in today’s political turmoil, perhaps it is time to reconsider its role and leadership.

## A Prayerful Response: The Rosary

As Catholics, we turn to prayer. Today we pray the rosary, focusing on the luminous mysteries:

• **The Baptism of Jesus** – asking for openness to the Holy Spirit.
• **The Wedding at Cana** – seeking hope that truth will be revealed.
• **The Proclamation of the Kingdom** – praying for peace for our leaders.
• **The Transfiguration** – desiring holiness in our nation’s decision‑makers.
• **The Institution of the Eucharist** – offering adoration and unity.

Each mystery is accompanied by the Our Father, Hail Mary, and a specific intention: love for all, especially our political leaders; hope that truth will emerge; and peace for President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Rudy Giuliani.

## Final Petition

Lord Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell. Lead the souls of our President, Vice President, and Giuliani to your mercy. May the truth be revealed, and may the United States be guided by justice, humility, and true patriotism.
