# Consecration to Our Lady of Fatima and the Luminous Rosary
*2021-05-13*

> Bill Young and John O'Rourke celebrate the 104th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s apparition with a Marian consecration prayer and a full Luminous Rosary.

## Marian Consecration

Bill led a heartfelt consecration to Mary, the Immaculate Mother. He renewed his baptismal vows, renounced Satan, and entrusted his heart, body, soul, and possessions to Mary, asking to be a fitting instrument for God’s glory. He asked for Mary’s help to return to Jesus when he falls, and concluded with a prayer of perfect consecration to Christ through Mary.

## The Luminous Rosary Begins

The hosts opened with the Apostles’ Creed and the Our Father, then prayed three Hail Marys for love, peace, and charity. They recited the Glory Be and moved into the first Luminous mystery: the Baptism of the Lord, invoking the Holy Spirit’s openness.

## The Five Luminous Mysteries

For each mystery—Baptism, Wedding at Cana, Proclamation of the Kingdom, Transfiguration, and Institution of the Eucharist—the group prayed the Our Father, a decade of Hail Marys, and the Glory Be, reflecting on the mystery’s fruit: deeper love of Christ, conversion, and the call to holiness.

## Closing Prayers and Reflections

Bill offered a final prayer asking Jesus to forgive sins, save souls from hell, and lead all to heaven, especially those most in need of mercy. He thanked Father Gary of St. David’s for providing rosary beads, recalled the children of Fatima—Lucia, Francisco, and the third child whose name they could not recall—and expressed hope to visit Fatima after the pandemic.

*Consecrating ourselves to Mary deepens our union with Christ and prepares us to live out the mysteries of our faith.*
