# Prayer for our land: a wake up call for our nation

## Praying for the Fallen

It is a very sad day in South Florida. Yesterday morning, we lost two special agents from the FBI who were serving warrants against individuals involved in child pornography and crimes against children. These agents died in an honorable way, and we must pray for their souls, for those who were wounded and remain in the hospital, and for their family members.

Jesus told us that whatever we do for the least of His children, we do unto Him. Therefore, crimes against children are among the worst crimes one can commit against God. For the next three days, we will be praying special Chaplets of Divine Mercy for Special Agent Laura and Special Agent Daniel.

## A Call to President Biden

This tragedy should serve as a wake-up call for President Biden. Recently, my co-host from Catholic Conscience 2.0 and I have been praying the Patriotic Rosary on Zoom, which includes prayers for every soul in all fifty states and specifically for the current president. 

While the President may agree that crimes against children are abhorrent, he must understand that in God's eyes, this includes the unborn. It is contradictory to oppose crimes against children while supporting worldwide abortion. We are praying for the President's soul and that he comes to see God's vision.

## The Christian Foundation of Freedom

I recently came across the writings of Reverend Jedidiah Morse from 1799. He stated that all efforts to destroy the foundation of holy religion ultimately tend toward the subversion of our political freedom and happiness. He warned that if the pillars of Christianity are overgrown, our republic and the blessings that flow from it must fall.

The foundation of this country was Christianity, which is why we have enjoyed such great blessings and freedoms—freedom of speech, religion, and the ability to prosper. This is why people from all over the world flock to the United States rather than to places like Russia or China, where religious freedom is non-existent. If we destroy our religious freedoms and allow Big Tech to censor our speech, we risk losing the very essence of our republic.

## A Prayer to Heal Our Land

We must recognize that our lack of holiness has allowed darkness to prevail. Our own sins, which we often wrongly view as small, allow those in darkness to commit great sins without shame. We must return to the Lord with our whole hearts.

I offer this prayer: Lord, we have been given blessings in proportions as no other nations before us. What has become of us, Father? We have spoiled the spacious skies with cities breathing with sin. We spurn You and blame our problems on those who promote darkness, but our own lack of light has allowed that darkness to prevail. We beg for forgiveness through the repentance of our hearts. We realize our nation is headed towards disaster, but we plead for Your mercy. Grant that we may again be Your people—not a nation above God, but a nation humbled and under God. Amen.
