# Who is the Antichrist?

## Evaluating the Candidates

When considering who the Antichrist might be, we must look at actions and words. Many of my Democrat friends might suggest Donald Trump, but his actions disqualify him. He is pro-life—even speaking at the pro-life rally in Washington, D.C.—and he has issued executive orders to put prayer back in schools. Furthermore, moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem is something the Antichrist would not do. The Antichrist is totally anti-Christ; he wouldn't do good things for the Lord first.

As for Joe Biden, I don't believe Satan would pick someone whose physical condition might prevent him from completing a term. While he holds pro-choice views and supports same-sex marriage, he lacks a certain mean spirit. However, we must look at his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris.

## The Profile of an Opportunist

If Joe Biden were to win, it is likely that Kamala Harris would eventually become president. She fits a more concerning profile: she is staunchly pro-choice and has been supported by Planned Parenthood. More importantly, she has shown an anti-Catholic bias, such as opposing a federal judge because he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

She appears to be an opportunist who seeks power regardless of the cost. During her time as a District Attorney, there were allegations regarding the handling of priest abuse cases in San Francisco that were not properly addressed. She has remained silent while churches were closed in California or while statues of Mary and Joseph were torn down by rioters. To me, she fits the bill of someone who is anti-Catholic and aligned with Marxist or Communist ideologies.

## Theology of the End Times

A common question is whether the Antichrist can be a woman. While Christ was a man, the Antichrist is the opposite of Christ, so it is my philosophy that the figure could be a woman. Regarding the timing, I've looked at materials from Father Chris Alaert, which suggest the Antichrist appears at the halfway point—three and a half years—of the seven-year period of tribulation. We are seeing many signs of the end times now: the coronavirus, rioting, earthquakes, and fires.

Some believe the Antichrist will be a Jewish individual or an atheist living in a 'new Jerusalem,' but that could also refer to the White House. Regardless of the specific person, the Church teaches that there is a hell, there will be a tribulation, and there will be an Antichrist.

## The Power of Prayer

I pray that I am wrong about my picks. We must remember that through prayer and the Rosary, we can change the course of events. We should pray for our enemies, even those who are enemies of the Catholic Church. Whether the Antichrist emerges in the United States or in places like Iran, Russia, China, or Venezuela, our defense is to get closer to God and remain devoted to His holy will.
