# Consecration to Saint Joseph on His Feast Day
*2020-03-18*

> Bill Young leads a prayer of consecration to Saint Joseph, inviting listeners to make Joseph their spiritual father and to continue the nine‑day devotion.

## Introduction

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. Today, March 19, 2020, is the feast day of Saint Joseph, and we are concluding the nine‑day devotion to him with a day of consecration.

## Prayer of Consecration

Dear Saint Joseph, on this day before God and your immaculate spouse, Mary, I, William (Bill) Young, choose you as my spiritual father forever. I formally entrust myself to your fatherly care. I love you and trust you to pray for my life. As your spiritual child, I give you full permission—indeed, I beg you—to act in my life, especially by praying for me constantly in a special way, drawing me deeper into the hearts of Jesus and Mary. Provide for me and all my loved ones, guide and protect me from bodily and spiritual evil, lead me always to do God’s most perfect will, help me to suffer with love and without complaint, grant me purity of body and soul, form me into a person of peace and joy, and prepare me for a beautiful and happy death. From this day forward, Saint Joseph, you are my spiritual father, and I am your child. I trust in you and love you, and I look forward to meeting you one day in heaven. I ask all of this in Jesus’ name, through the glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

## Closing Thoughts

God bless you all, especially those completing their consecration after the nine days of Saint Joseph. I hope you feel the benefit of this devotion. Remember to write down your consecration, sign and date it, as the tradition suggests. We will continue with our regular podcast later today, and we are also working on the 33‑day “Greater Glory” consecration to the Father through Jesus, based on the Gospel of John as presented by Father Michael Gailey. The nine‑day devotion to Saint Joseph is part of that same spiritual journey. Amen.

*Making Saint Joseph our spiritual father deepens our union with Christ and Mary and guides us toward a life of peace, joy, and holy perseverance.*
