## Opening and Invocation

Good morning, I’m Bill Young. Today is the first Friday of the month, so we begin with the First‑Friday prayer and the Litany of the First Friday. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

## The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

## Prayer to the Sacred Heart

O Jesus, whose divine heart is a living symbol of infinite love, draw our souls close to You, who gave Yourself for the glory of the Father and the salvation of all. May our lives bear witness to our love for You. We offer You our senses, quick to turn to impurity; our inconstant hearts; our fragile flesh—everything we are—as a sacrifice of love. Sweet Heart of Jesus, may I love You ever more. May our hearts be sensitive to the tragedy of humanity that resists Your love, and may we unite our reparations with Your redemptive sacrifice, offered through the hands of the Virgin Mary, who makes amends for our sins. May our lives become a witness to the Gospel, drawing souls into the Kingdom of Your love, that humanity may become one family in the eternal embrace of the Father. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Mercy of the Heart of Jesus, forgive my heart.

Kingdom of the Heart of Jesus, reign in my heart.
Wisdom of the Heart of Jesus, enlighten my heart.
Zeal of the Heart of Jesus, consume my heart.
Immaculate Virgin, pray for us to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Adorable Trinity, we thank You for all the graces granted to Your faithful servants. St. Margaret Mary, St. Madeleine Sophie, intercede for us and obtain the graces we seek in this novena. Amen.
