## Introducing the Living Rosary

Welcome to the Prayer N Lunch podcast. Today is Thursday, August 1st, and we are starting a new series called the Living Rosary. For many of us, finding the time for a daily rosary can be a challenge. Between work, housework, and the general busyness of life, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. A few years ago, I had an idea for a 'Workout Rosary,' and I am now expanding that into the Living Rosary.

My goal is to help people—including the auxiliary members of Legion of Mary—achieve their goal of praying a daily rosary by multitasking. Whether you are traveling in your car, riding a bus, doing housework, or exercising, you can simply put on your earphones and pray along with me. We have already recorded the Joyful Mysteries, and since today is Thursday, we will focus on the Luminous Mysteries.

## Spiritual Growth and Consecration

In addition to this series, I want to mention that I have previously recorded the '33 Days of Morning Glory' by Father Michael Gately, which leads to the consecration of oneself to Jesus through Mary. You can find all those recordings on my podcast. I hope to do another round of that in the fall, and we will finish other projects later this year.

## Praying the Luminous Mysteries

We begin our prayer with the Apostles' Creed, the Our Father, and three Hail Marys for love of neighbor, hope for world peace, and the sick and dying.

The first Luminous Mystery is the Baptism of Jesus. As we reflect on the Spirit of God descending like a dove and the Father's voice from heaven, we seek the fruit of this mystery: openness to the Holy Spirit.

The second mystery is the Wedding at Cana. We remember Mary's words to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you,' and we seek the fruit of going to Jesus through Mary.

The third mystery is the Proclamation of the Kingdom. We meditate on Jesus' call to cure the sick and drive out demons, seeking the fruits of repentance and trust in God.

The fourth mystery, which I briefly missed in the sequence but wish to acknowledge, is the Transfiguration. We reflect on Jesus' dazzling appearance and the Father's command to 'Listen to him,' seeking a desire for holiness.

The fifth mystery is the Institution of the Eucharist. We meditate on the New Covenant established in Christ's blood and body, seeking the fruit of adoration.

## Closing Prayers

We conclude our prayer with the Hail Holy Queen and the Canticle of Mary, praising the Almighty who works marvels and raises the lowly. We finish by asking our Lord Jesus Christ, our mediator with the Father, to grant that whoever seeks His favor may rejoice to receive it through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

*By integrating the Rosary into our daily activities, we can maintain a consistent prayer life despite the busyness of the modern world.*
