## Praying for Tommy

Today we are offering a special rosary for seven-year-old Tommy. He is suffering from a recurrence of cancer, specifically in his kidneys. It is heartbreaking that a child so young has to face this a second time. Tommy is currently back in the hospital because he has a fever, which is very dangerous for a child in his delicate condition.

I am currently serving as the VP for the Ariel Anchor Cancer Foundation, and we are working to help Tommy's mother—a single mom in Broward County—with the mounting hospital bills. We ask for your prayers that God may bring Tommy health and deliver him from this dreadful disease.

## The Luminous Mysteries

Since today is Thursday, we pray the Luminous Mysteries. We begin by asking for hope and the restoration of Tommy's health. As it is said that those who believe can move mountains, we aren't asking for a mountain to move; we are simply asking for one healthy seven-year-old boy.

We also pray for love—for Tommy, his mother, and all those suffering from cancer, including Annette, who is battling stage four cancer, and Roger McCoy. We recognize that disease and death are the works of the enemy, and we place our complete trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Finally, we pray for peace to descend upon Tommy and his mother.

## Reflections on the Kingdom of God

During the third Luminous Mystery, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, a specific passage caught my eye. It reminds us of the words in Matthew 10:7-8: 'As you go, make this proclamation: The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out the demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.'

This is why I have done this podcast for over eleven years. It is not for fame or money, but for the proclamation of the Kingdom of God. We pray that our Lord Jesus will act in that same spirit of healing for little Tommy.

## Call to Prayer

I hope to visit Tommy tomorrow at 3:00 PM. Regardless of their faith tradition, I invite all of you to join me tomorrow at 3:00 PM in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for Tommy. Let us pray for a miracle for him and for all those, young and old, who are suffering from this horrible disease.

*We are called to proclaim the Kingdom of God by supporting the sick and praying fervently for the healing of the most vulnerable among us.*
