> Bill Young reflects on the spiritual power of the rosary and leads a prayer session focusing on the Sorrowful Mysteries.

## The Weapon of the Rosary

Today is Tuesday after Easter Sunday, and I want to share what has been inspiring me to pray the rosary. I've been reading a book called 'The Ten Wonders of the Rosary' by Father Donald H. Gallery. It is a wonderful resource that highlights how the rosary has served as a weapon in various spiritual and physical wars throughout the centuries. It truly fills you with awe to see how powerful this prayer is.

## A Personal Testimony of Faith

I have seen the power of the rosary in my own life. Years ago, when my wife and I were trying to have children, she faced significant difficulties and a previous miscarriage. While she was on bed rest, we prayed the rosary for over a week. I believe, and she believes as well, that through that prayer, her health improved, the bleeding stopped, and we were blessed with a perfectly healthy son, Gregory. He is now 25 years old, and I pray that the Lord protects him and brings him back to Jesus Christ.

## Praying for Peace and Love

As we begin our prayers, I want to offer the first few Hail Marys for world peace. There is so much trouble in the world where Catholics and Christians are targeted by groups who mistakenly believe innocent people are responsible for their situations. Violence and death are not the will of God; they are the work of Satan. God believes in love. As Jesus taught us, we must love our neighbors and even our enemies. Anyone who acts out of hatred or a personal agenda to make headlines is not following God's will.

## Meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries

Since it is Tuesday, we meditate on the Sorrowful Mysteries. We begin with the Agony in the Garden, reflecting on the intense sorrow of Christ and seeking the fruit of sorrow for sin. We then move to the Scourging at the Pillar, praying for purity. The third mystery is the Crowning with Thorns, where we ask for courage. In the fourth mystery, the Carrying of the Cross to Golgotha, we pray for patience. Finally, we contemplate the Crucifixion, the moment Jesus commended His spirit to the Father, and we pray for perseverance.

## Closing Prayers

We conclude our time with the Hail Holy Queen and the Catena Magna, a prayer often used by the Legion of Mary. We remember that Mary, conceived without sin, is our advocate and our mother, appointed by Jesus to lead us to Him. Through her intercession, we seek the mercy and favors of our Lord.

*The rosary is a powerful spiritual weapon that can bring healing, peace, and strength in the face of life's greatest trials.*
