# Connecting the Dots to Heaven – Part 2: Experiencing the Time of Mercy
*2019-02-13*

> Bill Young continues the discussion on the three steps to heaven, focusing on trust, trying, and accepting God's mercy, while hearing from retreat participants about their experiences.

## Welcome and Setting

Hi, this is Bill Young and welcome to Prayer and Lunch. We’re broadcasting from St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida.

## Introducing the Participants

I have a few people with me today. Could you each give your first name? Debbie, Jacob, and Lori. Thank you.

## Reviewing the Three Steps to Heaven

We’ve just learned three steps for how to get to heaven. Let’s go through them again. Step one: Trust. Step two: Trying. Step three: Accepting our brokenness and allowing God to fill us with His divine mercy. Those are the steps.

## Group Reflections

How is everyone finding this so far? Lori says it’s really nice and entertaining. Jacob adds that it’s funny in a good way. We’ve all been to this retreat before—some of us attended the Orlando session last year. I’m from the Melbourne area, and I drove down here for the retreat.

## Personal Intentions

Debbie shares that her father is terminally ill, and she wants him to receive divine mercy. We’ll be praying for him, especially on Divine Mercy Sunday, when we receive the Divine Mercy chaplet and the graces associated with that feast.

*Trust, effort, and openness to God’s mercy are the essential steps that lead us toward heaven.*
