# Novena to Divine Mercy: Day Three
*2018-04-01*

> Bill Young leads the third day of the Divine Mercy Novena, focusing on the intention to bring all devoted and faithful souls into the ocean of God's mercy.

## A Prayer for Healing

Today marks the third day of our Novena to the Divine Mercy. The intention for today is to bring all devoted and faithful souls to the Lord. I have a story to share regarding this: the Lord gave me a gift today in the form of a devoted soul named Jacinta, named after the little girl of Fatima. She told me that she is ill with cancer.

It is fitting because we were preparing a special vestment for Father Chris to use during Mass, and it features a beautiful picture of Our Lady of Fatima with the three children. Let us pray to Our Lady of Fatima for one more miracle and one more grace for Jacinta. We know that whatever she asks her son, Jesus, He cannot turn her down. We ask that He help her with her illness and dissolve it.

## The Divine Mercy Chaplet

We begin our prayer with the opening invocation: Eternal Father, Your mercy is unfathomable. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us, I trust in You.

Following the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Apostles' Creed, we pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

## Reflecting on the Third Day

The meaning of the third day of the Novena is: 'Today, bring me all devoted and faithful souls and immerse them in the ocean of my mercy.' These souls brought consolation to Jesus on the Way of the Cross; they were drops of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness.

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasure of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the harbor of Your most compassionate Heart. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon Your faithful souls, the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessings and surround them with Your constant protection.

*May we, like the faithful souls of Fatima, provide drops of consolation to the Lord through our devotion and trust in His boundless mercy.*
