Good morning. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. Today is Thanksgiving, November 26th.

## A Thanksgiving Prayer

We offer this prayer, written by Montenia Michael Berkeley from the Catholic Prayer Book, for appreciation of one another on this day of thanks.

We thank you, Father, for the gift of Jesus, your Son, who came to earth and lived in a simple home. Through his life we gain a deeper appreciation of the value and dignity of the human family, because he loved and was loved within that shelter. Bless us this day that we may grow in love for one another in our families. We give thanks to you, the Creator of all families, and to the peace that abides in us. Amen.
