# Offering of the most precious blood for the sick

## Interceding for the sick

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer N Lunch podcast. Today we are doing a prayer for the sick called the Offering of the Most Precious Blood for the Sick. Today, my special attention is for my friend Annette, who I recently found out has stage three cancer. She is going to be going through many struggles, as most people in that situation do. This prayer is for her, but you can also use the spaces in this prayer to include your own friends and family members who are ill.

## The prayer of the most precious blood

Jesus, our Savior, divine physician, who heals the wounds of the soul and those of the body: we commend Annette to you. By the merits of the most precious blood, grant her the grace of good health. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus, our Savior, you who were merciful when faced with the miserable conditions of humanity and healed all types of infirmity, have compassion on Annette. By the spirit and merits of the most precious blood, we beseech you to free her from her illness. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus, our Savior, who said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest,' say again to Annette the words heard by many sick people: 'Get up and walk,' so that through the merits of your most precious blood, she may run immediately to the foot of your altar and thank you. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Intercession of the Blessed Mother

Mary, Health of the Sick, pray for Annette. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

## The sacrificial prayer of Fatima

I hope you all have a good Sunday. Please keep praying the Rosary for Our Lady of Fatima and keep saying the special prayers of Fatima. Specifically, there is one of the prayers that she gave to the three shepherd children on July 13th called the Sacrificial Prayer. This is for when you are enduring suffering, making sacrifices, or offering up mortifications. The prayer goes like this: 'O Jesus, this is for love of You, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.' Our Lady of Fatima, July 13th, 1917. Amen.
