# Morning Offering, Rosary, and the Joyful Mysteries
*2017-06-12*

> Bill Young leads the daily prayer, offering a Morning Offering, the Rosary with the Joyful Mysteries, and reflects on the feast of Blessed Yolanda and the upcoming second apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

## Opening Thoughts

Good morning, I’m Bill Young. Today is June 12, and I wanted to share a brief reflection on a recent article about actress Naomi Watts saying she believes she’s “in the good place.” While we can’t know anyone’s personal destiny, we trust that God’s promise of heaven is the true good place for us all. All the blessings we enjoy—family, love, material goods—come from Christ, and whenever we experience goodness it is because of Him.

## Morning Offering

Dear Jesus, I know your Sacred Heart is sorrowful because many people lack love and trust in you. Behold, Lord, here I am, weak and sinful, yet I love you and place my trust in you. May all my actions today console you. Heavenly Father, in union with the Mass offered today, I give you thanks for the gifts you have bestowed, especially the gift of sharing in your Cross. May this prayer glorify you and console your Son. With your grace I resolve to keep a spirit of praise and thanksgiving all day, and to show mercy to my neighbors through deeds, words, and prayers. Mary, Mother of God, intercede for me, that my offering may pass through your immaculate heart to Jesus and the Father for their greatest glory. Amen.

## Prayer to Our Lady of the Rosary

Lord of the Most Holy Rosary, we receive your promise of peace and reconciliation. Through our prayers of the Rosary, may your immaculate heart be our comfort and guide us to God. In the midst of war, suffering, and upheaval, we consecrate ourselves to your heart, trusting that your intercession will bring true and lasting peace. Holy Mary of Fatima, pray for us.

## Feast of Blessed Yolanda of Poland

Today is also the feast day of Blessed Yolanda (Yolanda) of Poland, a 13th‑century noblewoman who married a pious man, later became a nun, and served as abbess. She is renowned for her devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and for her charitable works. May her example inspire us to love Christ more deeply.

## The Rosary: Joyful Mysteries

We begin the Rosary with the traditional prayers: the Sign of the Cross, the opening prayer to the Holy Spirit, the Apostles’ Creed, Our Father, and three Hail Marys for hope, love, and peace. Then we meditate on the five Joyful Mysteries:

1. **The Annunciation** – The Angel’s greeting, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you.” The fruit is humility.
2. **The Visitation** – Mary’s visit to Elizabeth; the fruit is love of neighbor.
3. **The Nativity** – The birth of Jesus in a humble stable; the fruit is poverty of spirit.
4. **The Presentation** – Jesus presented in the Temple; the fruit is obedience.
5. **Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple** – The joy of discovering Him; the fruit is joy.

For each mystery we pray an Our Father, ten Hail Marys, and a Glory Be, asking the Holy Spirit to seal the fruit of each mystery in our hearts.

## Closing Prayer and Invitation

Holy Mother, Queen of Mercy, we cry to you as children of Eve, seeking your intercession. May the Blessed Virgin’s prayers obtain for us the promises of Christ. We also invoke the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Joseph, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Louis de Montfort. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, amen.

Tomorrow, June 13, marks the second apparition of Our Lady of Fatima to the shepherd children. I hope you will join me for Mass and the Rosary to honor this special day.

*All our prayers today point us toward the Sacred Heart of Jesus, received through Mary’s intercession.*
