> Bill Young shares the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary during the second day of the 6th Annual Marian Eucharistic Conference at Ave Marian University.

## Welcome and Context

Good evening, I’m Bill Young. We’re here at Ave Marian University for the 6th Annual Marian Eucharistic Conference, part two of the event. Yesterday we interviewed Brother Peter Pio of the Franciscan Order; the audio was a bit noisy, so we’ll keep today’s focus on the prayer we’re about to recite.

## The Act of Consecration

We are about to pray the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It begins with the title “Virgin of the Immaculate.” This prayer is a powerful way to unite ourselves with Mary’s purity and to open our hearts to God’s love. It is not meant to replace the 33‑day preparation we do for the Holy Rosary, but it serves as a meaningful entry point before we begin the three‑day Marian devotion later this week.

## Prayer Text

Virgin of the Immaculate, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth, refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves in a very special way to be immaculate. By this act of consecration we ask the Holy Spirit to fill us, that we may grow in holiness and bring Christ’s love to all we encounter.

## Reflection on Love and Mission

The conference reminded me that God is love, and we are called to bring that love to others. The speakers emphasized that our personal conversion must lead to evangelization—sharing God’s love so that others may come to know Him.

*Consecrating ourselves to Mary’s Immaculate Heart prepares us to be true instruments of God’s love in the world.*
