# Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima – Ninth Day
*2017-05-12*

> Bill Young leads the ninth day of the Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima, reciting the prayers and asking for the intercession of Mary for the sick and for the conversion of Russia.

## Opening Prayer

Good morning, this is Bill Young. Let us begin with the invocation: “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.”

“O God, come to my aid; O Lord, make haste to help me.”

“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.”

## The Apostles’ Creed

We now pray the Apostles’ Creed:

“I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; descended into hell; on the third day rose again from the dead; ascended into heaven; is seated at the right hand of the Father; He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.”

## Chaplet for the Ninth Day

Today is the ninth day of the Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima.

“Lord, we pray to Our Lady of Sorrows, who at Fatima revealed her heart pierced by thorns, asking for consolation and promising as a reward the grace of a holy death, the conversion of Russia, and final triumph for an immaculate heart. Grant, according to the desires of the Heart of Jesus, that we may be fulfilled in offering the gifts of repentance and love requested on the first Saturday of each month, so that we may share her promised graces.”

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

## Personal Intentions

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us and bless this day. Please join me in praying for my friend John and his wife Roseanne. John has been homebound for about a year and a half, battling cancer, a recent stroke, and a bout of flu. May God grant him health, peace, and comfort. Amen.

*May the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima bring us consolation, conversion, and the grace of a holy death.*
