# Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima – Sixth Day
*2017-05-11*

> Bill Young leads the sixth day of the Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima, reflecting on St. John of Ávila’s feast day and praying for the conversion of sinners.

## Opening Prayer

Good morning. This is Bill Young, welcome to Prayer and Lunch. Today we continue with the Chaplet to Our Lady of Fatima—day six. It is also the feast day of St. John of Ávila, May 9th. Let us pray: “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be with us. Amen. St. John of Ávila, pray for us. O God, come to our aid; Lord, make haste to help us. Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.”

## The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell, and on the third day rose again. He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

## Sixth Day of the Chaplet

O Refuge of sinners, who encourage the shepherds of Fatima to pray to God, so that those poor, unhappy souls who have rejected God’s law may not be lost forever. You said to one of the shepherds that many souls go to hell because of the sins of the flesh. Grant us a deep horror of sin, especially sins of impurity, and give us compassion and zeal for the salvation of souls who are in great danger of eternal loss.

## Hail Mary Prayer

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, my mother, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of their death.

*May our prayers to Our Lady of Fatima deepen our horror of sin and ignite our zeal for the salvation of every soul.*
