# Rosary for world peace: the sorrowful mysteries

> Bill Young leads a special rosary dedicated to world peace, the conversion of souls, and the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

## Intentions for Peace

Good morning. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer N Lunch podcast. Today is a special day because we are starting a rosary for world peace, for the conversion of those who do not know God's love, and for the Immaculate Hearts of Mary and Jesus.

## The Sorrowful Mysteries

Since it is Tuesday, we meditate on the Sorrowful Mysteries. We begin with the Agony in the Garden, recalling how Jesus prayed with great intensity in His anguish, His sweat becoming like drops of blood. We then move to the Scourging at the Pillar, reflecting on the virtue of purity. The third mystery is the Crowning with Thorns, where we ask for the fruit of courage. This is followed by the Carrying of the Cross, as Jesus made His way to Golgotha. Finally, we contemplate the Crucifixion and the moment Jesus committed His spirit into the Father's hands.

## Prayers for the World

Throughout this rosary, we offer our prayers for the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, asking Our Lady of Guadalupe to pray for us. We specifically pray for the conversion of those who do not yet feel or know the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, that they may experience the love God has for all of us.

## A Call to Love Over Hate

God bless everyone and the pursuit of world peace. We pray for the souls killed in acts of terrorism—from overseas to Paris, Nice, Istanbul, Orlando, and for the police in Dallas and Louisiana. God is love. Let everyone know that God is not a God of hate. If you have love, there will be no hate.

*By praying the rosary and embracing love, we can push back against hate and seek peace for the entire world.*
