## Introducing the Prayer

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. Today we continue our January series with a prayer called “Prayer to the Infant of Prague,” a prayer revealed by Our Lady to the Venerable Father Cyril, a Discalced Carmelite.

## The Prayer to the Infant of Prague

O Child Jesus, I turn to you. I beseech you to assist me through the intercession of your holy Mother in my particular need. May your attention be upon me, for I firmly believe that your divine power can help me. I hope and trust that I may obtain your holy grace.

I love you with all my heart, with all the strength of my soul. I am deeply sorry for all my sins. I ask you, O good Jesus, to give me the strength to be victorious in my struggle against evil. I resolve never to offend you again. I offer myself to you and would rather suffer than displease you in any way.

From now on I want to serve you with all my faith and out of love for you. O Divine Child, help me love my neighbor as myself. Almighty Child, Lord Jesus, I beseech you once more to help me in this particular situation and to give me the strength to persevere, that I may share in eternity with Mary, Joseph, the angels, and the saints in the light of heaven. Amen.

## Reflection

The prayer emphasizes a personal relationship with the Infant of Prague, invoking the intercession of Mary and the communion of saints. It calls us to repentance, perseverance against evil, and a renewed commitment to love God and neighbor.

*Through the Infant of Prague we are invited to trust in divine grace, repent sincerely, and live out love for God and neighbor.*
