> Bill Young shares reflections from a recent Marian conference, offers prayers for listeners, and leads a heartfelt prayer to St. Rita, the patron of hopeless cases, on Trinity Sunday.

## Greetings and Conference Highlights

Hi, this is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. I just returned last night from a Marian conference at Ave Maria University. There were many inspiring speakers, and I learned a great deal. I’m grateful to Father Chris for his teaching and to all the people I met from across Florida. I want to lift up a few specific prayers: for the mother of five and her husband William; for the mother of twins who has six children; and for a lady who lost her 19‑year‑old son a few years ago.

## A Lesson on God’s Timelessness

Father Chris shared a powerful reminder that God exists outside of time. He recounted how, before he was a priest, his grandmother died by suicide ten years earlier. He thought he could no longer pray for her, but Father Chris explained that because God is not bound by our chronology, we can intercede for anyone, even those who have passed away. This insight encouraged me to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which I’ll share later.

## Trinity Sunday Blessing

Today is Trinity Sunday, so let us begin with the sign of the cross: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Thank you, Father, for the mystery of the Trinity; thank you, Son, for dying on the cross and saving our souls; and thank you, Holy Spirit, for guiding us into truth. Amen.

## Prayer to St. Rita, Advocate of Hopeless Cases

O holy St. Rita, intercessor for what seems impossible, I turn to you burdened by the weight of my trials. Free my heart from oppressive worries and grant peace to my broken spirit. You were chosen by God to be the advocate of hopeless cases; obtain for me the grace I now ask. May my family draw closer to our Lord Jesus through Mary.

If my sins stand in the way of my prayers, obtain for me sincere repentance and the forgiveness that comes through a good confession. Whatever may happen, do not allow me to remain in suffering. Lord, look upon the hope I place in you through St. Rita, who intercedes for those without hope. Manifest your mercy in us, your children. Amen.

## Closing Prayer and Blessing

May God bless you all. I will soon share the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Have a blessed Trinity Sunday. Amen.

*Even in seemingly hopeless situations, St. Rita’s intercession reminds us that God’s mercy transcends time and can bring hope.*
