## A Brief Reflection

When I recorded my first podcast back in the early 1980s, I struggled with pronouncing certain words. I remember a pastor at St. Matthew’s in Florida asking me to be a commentator. Each Sunday before Mass I would ask for help with the correct pronunciation, and eventually the congregation even applauded my improvement. It struck me that even then, long before the internet or podcasting existed, God was already planning the ways He would use me to reach people.

Lord Jesus, who was born for us in a stable, lived a life of pain and sorrow, and died for us upon the Cross, pray for us in the hour of death. Father, forgive us. To your Mother, behold your Child. Say to us today, ‘You shall be with me in Paradise.’ Dear Savior, do not forsake us; we thirst for you, the fountain of living water. Our days pass quickly; soon all will be consumed. We entrust ourselves to your hands. Strengthen our spirit now and forever. Amen.
