# Morning Glory Consecration Prayer to Mary
*2016-03-07*

> Bill Young introduces a free 33‑day Morning Glory retreat and leads listeners in a consecration prayer to the Immaculate Mother, encouraging them to join the online devotion.

## Finding God on Twitter

I start by noting that, despite its usual mix of celebrities and politicians, Twitter can also be a place where people encounter God’s love. There are many Catholic accounts that share uplifting content. One I recommend is Matthew Leonard, who recently spoke at a men’s conference at Immaculate Conception in Hialeah. He offers great reading material and CDs—especially the “Pray Like a Saint” series from Lighthouse Catholic Media and a bonus CD with Fr. Burke Masters—that are worth listening to while driving.

## The Free Morning Glory Booklet

At the conference I received a free booklet titled “30 Free Days to the Morning Glory Consecration of Our Mother.” It’s a do‑it‑yourself retreat that I’ll be doing after Easter, since during Lent we’re focusing on the prayers and reflections Pope Francis provides in his small book. If you’d like a copy, you can email Ana M. DeMoya at anademoya01@gmail.com. The plan is to start the 33‑day retreat in mid‑April, and I hope listeners will join me in praying each day.

## Invitation to Share Positive Tweets

I encourage anyone who finds something uplifting about God, Mary, or the saints on Twitter to share it. Even though Jesus associated with sinners—tax collectors and prostitutes, whom we might now label “politicians”—He still reached them with love. Likewise, we can use social media to point others toward the Lord.

## Morning Glory Consecration Prayer

Now let’s pray the Morning Glory Consecration. Feel free to write your own name and the date.

I, Bill Young, a repentant sinner, renew today in your hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my baptism. I renounce Satan and resolve to follow Jesus Christ more closely than before. Mary, I give you my heart; set it ablaze with love for Jesus, ever thirsty for love and souls. Keep my heart pure that I may love Jesus and the members of His Body with your perfect love. Mary, I entrust to you my whole self—body, soul, interior and exterior actions. Make of me whatever pleases you, a fitting instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands, that I may bring the greatest possible glory to God. If I fail, draw me back to Jesus. Wash me in the blood and water flowing from His pierced side. Help me never to lose trust in His fountain of love and mercy. With you, O Immaculate Mother, I unite myself to the perfect consecration of Jesus, who offers Himself in the Spirit to the Father for the life of the world. Amen.

## Closing Blessing

I’m recording this on March 7, 2016. May God bless your world.

*Even in the bustle of social media, we can find and share God’s love, especially through a dedicated prayer like the Morning Glory consecration.*
