# Novena to Our Lady of Miracles

## Beginning the Novena

Good morning, this is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer at Lunch podcast. Today we begin a novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Miracles. The novena runs from today, February 28, through March 8. Ideally the prayers are recited in a place dedicated to Marian devotion or pilgrimage. Let us pray: “Amen to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. O God, come to my aid; O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.”

## The Apostles' Creed

We continue with the Apostles' Creed: “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell, and on the third day rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.”

## First Marian Prayer

Our Lady of Miracles, my Mother Mary, you have revealed yourself as a source of graces and blessings. Grant that I may enjoy these benefits and obtain, in particular, the grace I ask for today with all my heart. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mother of God, pray for us now. Amen.

## Second Marian Prayer

Our Lady of Miracles, you have chosen a simple and honest people to carry out your will. Teach me the humility needed to receive your graces. Grant that my heart may be simple and humble, that I may obtain the grace I seek today. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mother of God, pray for sinners. Amen.

## Final Prayer of Thanksgiving

Our Lady of Miracles, Mother Mary, you have rewarded the faith and love of those who built this church for you. Show your endless generosity by granting the grace I now ask. Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, our hope. To you we cry, children of your mercy; we lift up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn your gracious advocacy toward us, that we may behold the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O Clement, O Loving, Sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us, Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
