## Feast of the Presentation

Good evening. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. Today is February 2, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. As we celebrate this feast, we continue our February devotion to the Holy Spirit.

## Invocation of the Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, come. You are the celestial light, the source of all our strength. Come into our hearts, shine upon us, and be the Comforter of our souls. Refresh us in our labors, grant us sweet coolness in the heart, and be our solace amid the world’s troubles.

## Prayer for Healing and Renewal

O blessed Light, divine presence within our innermost being, fill us where we are empty. Heal our wounds, renew our strength, and wash away the stain of guilt. Melt the stubbornness of our hearts, warm the coldness within, and guide the steps of those who have strayed.

## Petition for the Gifts of the Spirit

Grant us the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit, that we may grow in virtue, receive the reward of salvation, and experience the joys that never end. Send forth your Spirit, that a new creation may arise and the faith of the earth be renewed.

## Closing Prayer

Let us pray: O God, who teaches the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that, through the gift of that same Spirit, we may always desire what is good and rejoice in your consolation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
