## Feast of St. Vincent

Good morning, this is Bill Young. Today is Friday, January 22nd, the feast day of St. Vincent of Zaragoza. St. Vincent was a deacon in the fourth century who suffered martyrdom. He was ordained by St. Valerius; both were imprisoned, and while Valerius was eventually released and exiled, Vincent endured repeated beatings and near‑death experiences. He remained steadfast in his witness, comforted by visitors, and ultimately gave his life for Christ. We ask St. Vincent’s intercession for all our deacons, religious, sisters, priests, bishops, and especially Pope Francis.
