# Prayer to the Child Jesus for hopeless cases
*2015-12-27*

> On the feast of St. John the Apostle, Bill Young shares a powerful prayer to the Child Jesus specifically intended for those facing situations that seem hopeless.

## The Feast of St. John the Apostle

Today is December 27th, the feast day of St. John the Apostle. St. John is known as the friend of Jesus. Jesus loved John so much that, while dying on the cross, He entrusted His mother, Mary, to his care. Let us pray to St. John the Apostle to intercede for us in our times of need.

## Hope in the Child Jesus

We have a special prayer today: the Prayer to the Child Jesus for hopeless cases. I encourage you to pray this with your specific intentions, whether you consider them hopeless or not. In truth, nothing is hopeless for our Lord Jesus Christ.

## The Promise of the Holy Infancy

The prayer begins by remembering the sweet promise the Holy Child Jesus made to His disciple, Margaret, regarding the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. He addressed her with words that anointed her broken soul with heavenly consolation, telling her: 'Take recourse to my heart, and every time you wish to obtain grace, ask for it through the merits of my holy infancy, and I will not refuse to grant it to you.'

## A Petition for Grace

Full of confidence in that promise, we come to the feet of the Divine Child to place our needs before Him. We ask for help to live a holy life so that we may one day reach our heavenly home. Through the merits of His infancy and the intercession of His most lovable mother, as well as the holy angels and archangels Michael and Gabriel, we implore the grace we seek.

## Trusting in Divine Mercy

As you offer your special intentions, do so with lively hope, knowing that the Lord understands exactly how much you need His help. Oh sweet Child, do not let our hopes be deluded. We trust in Your tenderness, Your mercy, and Your divine heart, certain that You will hear our prayers.

*No matter how dire a situation may seem, nothing is hopeless when brought before the mercy and tenderness of the Child Jesus.*
