> Bill Young reflects on John 14:9 during Christmas week, exploring how Jesus makes the Father known to us.

## Opening Thoughts

Good afternoon, this is Bill Young. Merry Christmas! I hope everyone enjoyed a blessed Christmas morning. I’m grateful for the gift of an Apple TV from my son, who also created an app called FunVits that organizes videos for the device. It’s a handy little tool for Apple TV owners.

## The Theme: Jesus Reveals the Father

Our topic today is “Jesus Reveals the Face of God.” Let us give glory to God, who is faithful and merciful. May we come to know the truth of the Father’s face, feel His closeness, live in His presence, love Him, adore Him, and experience His mercy and help.

## Scripture Reading – John 14:9

The reading for today is John 14:9. Jesus says, “Philip, have you ever seen me? If you have, then you have seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” Through the Son we see the Father.

## Reflection

When Jesus tells Philip that seeing Him is the same as seeing the Father, He invites us into a deeper relationship with God. By looking to Christ—His words, His love, His sacrifice—we encounter the very face of God. This is the heart of our Christmas celebration: the Incarnation, God becoming man so that we might truly know Him.

*Through Christ we behold the Father’s face, and in that encounter we find the fullness of God’s love.*
