# Prayer to Our Lady of Loreto

> Bill Young leads a special prayer to Our Lady of Loreto, recalling the holy house of Nazareth and asking for Mary’s intercession for grace and perseverance in the Christian life.

## Opening

Good afternoon, this is Bill Young. Today we’re offering a special prayer to Our Lady of Loreto. I recently shared a link about the Holy House of Loreto, which tradition says was transported by angels from Nazareth to its present location in Italy.

## The Prayer

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Immaculate Virgin Mary, with lively faith we contemplate the great mysteries that took place in your humble house at Nazareth, which was brought by angels to the hill of Loreto. In that holy dwelling you were conceived without sin, lived your childhood in prayer, and heard the angel’s greeting, “full of grace.” Your “yes” opened the heavens and made possible the Incarnation of the Savior.

Together with St. Joseph you contemplated the Incarnate Word, preparing your spirit for the great sacrifice on Calvary, becoming the Mother of all humanity redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Grant, O Mary, that we may, through the living grace of the Lord, keep far from sin, submit ourselves to God’s law, and follow your example of humility. May we one day dwell in the house of God in Paradise, together with you, for all eternity. Amen.
