Good morning, I’m Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer at Lunch podcast. Today, November 21, 2015, we pray a special offering of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus for the dead, with a particular intention for our former scout leader, Diane Gentry.

## Prayer of Offering

Eternal Father, I offer You the blood which Your beloved Son shed during His painful agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, during the scourging at the pillar, the crowning with thorns, and His journey to Calvary. By this offering, obtain the liberation of the souls in purgatory, especially the soul of Diane Gentry, and all our relatives and friends who are listening. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer You the blood which Jesus shed on the cross during the three hours of His agony, that the souls in purgatory may be freed from their torment. Again, we pray especially for Diane Gentry and for all who love her. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

## Intercessory Prayer to Jesus and Mary

Let us pray. Most lovable Jesus, we humbly implore You to present to the Eternal Father the precious blood shed from Your wounds, that the holy souls in purgatory may obtain relief and, once freed, may sing of Your divine mercy forever in heaven. O Lady of Sorrows, intercede for us, presenting the sorrowful passion of Your Son and the sorrows of Your heart, that the souls in purgatory may be set free.
