## Reflections on Sisterhood and Mission

Today is Thursday, November 19th, the feast day of St. Agnes of Assisi. St. Agnes had a biological sister, St. Clare, and together they performed great feats for the Church. This reminded me of a time in D.C. while waiting to hear Pope Francis speak, where I met several groups of sisters, including two who were biological sisters. One of them was preparing to go overseas, I believe to Africa. We pray for those sisters, for their missions, and that their love of God remains strong.

## Intercession for the Sisters

St. Agnes, St. Clare, and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, please protect these sisters. Give them strength and give them the love of your son, Jesus Christ.

## Prayer to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

O most powerful Queen of heaven and earth, immaculate Mother of God and our mother, most holy Mary, through the merits of the manifestation of your Miraculous Medal, we beseech you to hear our petitions. To you, O Mother, we turn with confidence. Send forth upon the whole world rays of God's graces, of which you are the treasurer. Save us from sin. Through your intercession, may the Father of Mercy take pity on us and save us, so that we may be sure to enter into paradise, where we shall be able to contemplate and honor you. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen.
