# May My Soul Be a Little Paradise – A Prayer for Constant Union with God
*2015-11-17*

> Bill Young shares a beautiful prayer attributed to Blessed Elizabeth of Hungary, asking God to make our souls a small paradise where we remain united with Him in every moment of life.

## Introducing the Prayer

Welcome to the tenth episode of Prayer & Lunch. Today’s prayer is titled “May My Soul Be a Little Paradise,” a devotion traditionally linked to Blessed Elizabeth of Hungary.

## The Prayer

Lord, grant that I may live with You as a friend. Help me keep my faith alive and unite myself to You in all things. May my soul be a little paradise where You may rest in delight. Help me remove from it everything that could spoil it before Your divine gaze.

May I live in this little heaven, remaining with You forever. Whatever I am and whatever I do, You never leave me. Grant that I may always remain with You in every hour of the day and night, in every joy and sorrow, in every deed and action, that You may find Yourself within me.

My God, Holy Trinity, be the dwelling place, my nest, the Father’s house that I must never leave. May I be united with You not only for a few moments or a few hours that quickly pass, but in a permanent, habitual way. Grant that I may always pray, adore, love, suffer, work, and act in You.

May I remain in You, ready to be available for everybody and everything, applying myself to any duty and venturing ever further into the depths of Your divinity. Lord, grant that I may advance further along this path which guides me each day, trusting in Your full love. Amen.

## Closing Blessing

May God bless you as you strive to make your soul a little paradise where He dwells.

*Let every moment become a chance to unite more deeply with the Divine, turning our lives into a small paradise for God.*
