## Feast of St. Leo the Great

Good morning, this is Bill Young and welcome to the Prayer & Lunch podcast. Today is Tuesday, November 10th, the feast day of Saint Pope Leo the Great. Leo was one of the greatest saints of the Church, a profound pastor who defended the faith and strengthened the role of the Bishop of Rome.

## Prayer: Come, Spirit of Life

Let us pray, invoking the Holy Spirit with the help of St. Leo:

Come, Spirit of Life, renew the work of creation so that a more just and righteous society may be born. Come, Spirit of Knowledge, render the Church wholly obedient to the Gospel. Come, Spirit of Grace, transform the Church with your holiness, that she may become ever more the family of the children of God. Come, Spirit of Counsel, guide the Church along the way of history. Come, Spirit of Mercy, free the Church with merciful love from the slavery of evil. Come, Spirit of Praise, grant the Church wisdom in all matters concerning God. Come, Spirit of Fortitude, give the Church the courage to proclaim the Gospel of salvation to all peoples. Come, Spirit of Service, build the Church upon the foundation of unity and peace, that she may dwell in harmony with the joys and sufferings of humanity. Come, Spirit of Resurrection, as you raised Jesus from the dead, bring all people to eternal life and glory. Amen.

## Closing Blessing

May God bless you all, and may the Holy Spirit fill your hearts as you go about your day.

*Invoking the Holy Spirit renews both the Church and the world, guiding us toward unity, mercy, and eternal life.*
