## Opening the Prayer

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch Podcast. Today we are offering a special prayer in response to the urgent request for our friends and families in Mexico.

## Invoking Our Lady of Guadalupe

We pray specifically to our Mother of Jesus, Our Lady of Guadalupe, our Queen. Our Lady of Guadalupe, my queen and my mother, I thank you for your first apparition to the blessed Juan Diego, when you revealed that you are the most pure Virgin, Mary, Mother of the true God and Mother of all mankind.

## Petition for Protection and Aid

I thank you for requesting a temple to be built where you stood, that we might bear witness to your love, compassion, aid, and protection for all who love you, trust you, and invoke your help. Amen.

## Prayer for Those Affected by the Hurricane

Mary, Queen of Angels, help those in Mexico and their families who are suffering from the hurricane crisis. May we be guided to assist them with charity and prayer.
