## Respect Life Sunday and the Human Chain

Good evening, I’m Bill Young. Today we’re marking Respect Life Sunday. At my parish, St. Maximilian Kolbe, we organized a human chain to stand with the unborn. Father Jeff and thousands of churches—both Catholic and Protestant—joined similar chains across the country, showing solidarity for the vulnerable lives in the womb.

## Divine Mercy for the Unborn

We close with a prayer called “Divine Mercy for the Unborn.”

“For all the helpless little children who die in the womb of their mothers, I pray that these souls be given eternal life by our Lord Jesus Christ through His Divine Mercy. I beg Jesus to allow the spiritual baptism of each little soul who is born dead. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, I entrust them to Your love, calling them by the name you have given them, as you are their Father.”

## Prayer to the Father of All Life

Another prayer we offer is to God, the Father of all life:

“Eternal God, you have revealed yourself as the Father of our life. We praise you, Father, creator of all, who made us in your image and likeness. Extend your protective hand to those threatened by abortion. Save them from this destructive power. Grant strength to all fathers, that they may resist any fear that might lead them to consider abortion. Bless our families and our land, that we may experience the joy of welcoming and nurturing life.”

*May God’s mercy and protection surround every unborn child and the families who love them.*
