## Remembering Uncle Robin

I am doing a special podcast today because I found out last night that one of my last living uncles, Robin Law, has passed away. I only had the opportunity to meet him once when he was in the South Florida area and took us all out to dinner. He was a very generous man, a very kind and elegant individual, and I am so sad that he is gone. My heart goes out to my Aunt Suzanne.

## Prayers for the Soul

We turn now to prayers for the faithful departed. The following prayer may be recited immediately after a person's death and repeated in the hours that follow: Saints of God, come to his aid. Come to meet him, and may the angels of the Lord receive his soul and present him to God the Most High. May Jesus Christ, who called you, take you to Himself. May the angels lead you to Abraham's side. Give him eternal rest, O Lord, and may the light shine upon him forever.

## Intercession for Mercy

Let us pray: All-powerful, merciful God, we commend to you Robin Law, your servant. In your mercy and love, blot out the sins that he committed through his human weakness in this world. He has died; let him live with you forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

## Eternal Rest

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. Remember, Lord, those who have died and who have gone before us in the sign of faith, especially Robin Law. May all who sleep in Christ find happiness in Your presence of light.
