## Honoring the Queenship of Mary

Good morning. This is Bill Young and welcome to the Prayer N Lunch podcast. Today is the feast day of the Queenship of Mary. In her honor, we are doing a marathon of sorts of prayers for her. Our next prayer, number five, is called 'Mother of our Redeemer,' written by St. Pope John Paul II.

## Mary and the Holy Trinity

In this prayer, the Pope draws attention to the relationship of Mary with each person of the Holy Trinity. Following the example of Mary, we too encounter the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and learn how to pray to them with the heart.

## The Prayer of the Redeemer

Mother of our Redeemer, in this time dedicated to you, we proclaim with joy that you are blessed. God the Father chose you before the creation of the world to realize his providential design of salvation. You believed his love and obeyed his word. The Son of God wanted you to be his mother when he became man to save all people. You welcomed him with prompt obedience and an undivided heart. The Holy Spirit loved you as his mysterious spouse and filled you with singular gifts. You meekly allowed yourself to be molded by his hidden and powerful actions.

## Entrusting the World to Our Mother

To you, on these thresholds of the third millennium of Christianity, we entrust the Church who acknowledges and invokes you as Mother. To you, mother of all people and nations, with confidence, we entrust all humanity with its fears and hopes. Grant that everyone may encounter Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Sustain us, O Virgin Mary, in our journey of faith, and obtain for us the grace of eternal salvation. O clement, all-loving, O sweet Mother of God and our Mother Mary.

*By following Mary's example of obedience and love, we can better encounter the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our own lives.*
