Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and today is Saturday, August 22—the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. In honor of this feast we are presenting a marathon of prayers dedicated to her. Here is the twenty‑third prayer.

## Prayer to Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth

O Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, Mother of the Lord of the world, most magnificent and most lovable of all creatures. Many on earth do not yet know or love you, but countless angels and saints in heaven love and praise you continuously. On earth, too, many souls burn with love for you, enamored of your goodness.

Most lovable Lady, grant that I may love you, serve you, praise you, and honor you always, and that everyone may come to love you as you allow God to love you. You, whose beauty drew the Eternal Father’s love to the world, made Him become man, your Son.

How can I, therefore, not fall in love with you? No, my sweet Mother, I too want to love you greatly and desire to do all I can so that others may love you. Therefore, O Mary, help me to put this desire into practice. I know that those who love you are pleasing to God. Besides my own glory, I desire nothing other than yours; I wish to see you honored and loved by all people.

From your blessed Mother, I hope to receive all my joy. Obtain for me forgiveness of my sins and the grace of providence; assist me at the hour of my death; save me from purgatory; and lead me into Paradise. These are the graces that those who love you obtain from you, and I too hope to obtain them because I love you with all my heart, above all things after God. Thank you, Mary.
