## Feast of the Queenship

Good afternoon, I’m Bill Young. Today, August 22, we celebrate the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. As part of my ongoing series of Marian prayers, I’m presenting the 14th prayer in the marathon I’m calling “26 Prayers to the Blessed Virgin.”

## The Fourteenth Prayer

Most holy, immaculate Virgin, my Mother Mary, Mother of our Lord and Queen of the world, advocate, hope, and refuge of sinners—
I, a humble creature, turn to you today. I venerate you, great Queen, and thank you for all the graces you have bestowed upon me, especially for saving me from being lost. I love you, most lovable Lady, and promise to serve you always, doing all I can so that others may also love you.
I have placed all my hopes and health in the hands of Jesus, and now I wish to place them in your hands as well. Accept me as your servant; take me under your mantle, O Mother of Mercy. Through your powerful intercession before God, I ask you to deliver me from all temptations, or at least grant me the strength to overcome them until my death.

## Traditional Marian Invocation

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

## Closing Blessing

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
