# Prayer Against Every Evil and for the Burned Churches

## Opening and Scripture

Good afternoon, I’m Bill Young. Today we offer a special prayer for those whose churches have been burned and whose families have lost loved ones in Charleston. We pray that evil be stopped. In Philippians 4:6‑7 we are reminded: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

## Invocation of the Holy Trinity

Heavenly Father, I love you, I praise you, I worship you. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, who won victory over sin and death for our salvation. Thank you for the Holy Spirit, who empowers, guides, and leads us into the fullness of life.

## Cleansing and Protection

Lord Jesus, I place myself at the foot of your cross and ask that your precious blood cover me. Cleanse me with the living water that flows from your heart. Surround me with your holy light. May the healing waters of my baptism flow through my generations, purifying my lineage from Satan’s influence.

Father, I ask forgiveness for myself, my relatives, my ancestors, and for any powers that have opposed you. In Jesus’ holy name I reclaim any territory given to Satan and place it under the Lordship of Christ. Reveal to me any unconfessed sins, any people I must forgive, and any aspects of my life that are not pleasing to you.

## Binding Evil and Breaking Curses

Lord Jesus, in your holy name I bind all evil spirits of the air, water, ground, and the unseen world. I claim the precious blood of Jesus over the atmosphere, the waters, the earth, and all that surrounds us. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, the holy angels, and the saints protect me and keep all evil spirits from harming me.

In the name of Jesus I seal myself, my family, my home, my church, my car, my phone, and all my possessions with the blood of Christ. I break and dissolve any curses, hexes, spells, traps, or spiritual attacks, known or unknown, that have been placed upon me.

## Petition for Grace and Virtues

Holy Spirit, reveal any lingering evil that clings to me. I command Jesus to dispose of it according to his will.

Thank you, Father, for empowering me to stand against Satan. Thank you, Jesus, for setting me free. Thank you, Mary, for interceding with the angels and saints.

Lord, fill me with charity, compassion, faith, gentleness, hope, humility, joy, kindness, light, love, mercy, modesty, patience, peace, purity, tranquility, trust, truth, understanding, and wisdom, that I may walk in your light and glorify the Father forever.

## Conclusion

God is my Savior; my strength and courage come from the Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. May God bless all who are suffering in these troubled times.
