Good evening. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer ’n Lunch podcast. Since June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are offering a special prayer written by St. John Eudes, the founder of the devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

## The Prayer to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Hearts most holy, we greet you. Hearts most sweet, we greet you. Hearts most humble, we greet you. Hearts most pure, we greet you. Hearts given without reserve, we greet you. Hearts most wise, we greet you. Hearts of patience, hearts of obedience, we greet you. Hearts of diligence, hearts of fulfillment, we greet you. Hearts most joyful, hearts full of mercy, we greet you. Most beloved Hearts of Jesus and of Mary, we greet you.

We adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks. We love you with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength. We offer our hearts to you, we consecrate them, we offer them as a sacrifice. Receive them and possess them completely. Purify them, enlighten them, sanctify them. In them may you live in us now and forever. Amen.
