> Bill Young shares a heartfelt Eucharistic prayer to Jesus, the Most Lovable, and invites listeners to pray with him at lunchtime.

## Welcome and Context

Hi, this is Bill Young, and welcome to the 63rd episode of Prayer and Lunch. I’ve just returned from a brief spring‑break trip with my family. Vacations can be more tiring than returning to work, so my rest wasn’t as restful as I’d hoped, but it was fun and refreshing. Today I want to lead a short prayer to Jesus, the Most Lovable, and I hope you’ll join me.

## The Prayer

O most admirable, beloved Jesus, You who are our life, our hope, our treasure, the only love of our souls—how great a sacrifice it was for You to remain with us in this sacrament! You chose to die, to remain on our altars. You bore every offense so that we might be consoled by Your presence. Your love, and Your desire to be loved by us, overcame all things.

Lord, come into my heart. Let no other creature take away the love I have for You. Therefore, O Jesus, grant that I may be entirely Yours. If I fail to obey Your commandments fully, may I feel remorse, that I might strive to carry out Your will in all things.

Grant that my greatest desire may be to please You, to visit You in the blessed sacrament of the altar, to remain in Your presence, to receive You into my body even if others seek pleasure elsewhere. I love nothing and desire nothing other than Your presence, precious love at the foot of the altar. Grant that I may forget myself in order to remember only Your will.

I do not envy the blessed seraphim for their glory, but for the love they have for God. May they teach me how to love and please Him. Amen.

## Reflection

In this prayer we ask that our hearts be wholly given to Christ, especially in the Eucharist, where He truly dwells. Let us strive to love Him above all else, allowing no other desire to distract us from the desire to be united with Him at the altar.

*May we seek to be wholly united with Christ in the Eucharist, loving Him above all else.*
