## Opening Prayer

Good morning. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the Prayer and Lunch podcast. Today we pray the Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Prostrate humbly before you, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, we renew our consecration to you in order to atone with increased faith and love for all the offenses committed against that same Heart.

## Response to Blasphemy and Evil

The more blasphemies are uttered against your holy mysteries, the more we shall believe in those mysteries. The more evil tries to rob us of hope, the more we shall trust in you, our hope for humanity.

## Commitment to Virtue and the Sacraments

The more ungrateful hearts resist your divine attractions, the more we shall adore you, O Sweet Heart of Jesus. The more outrage is committed against your divine mysteries, the more we shall worship them. The more divine laws are forgotten or broken, the more scrupulously we shall observe them. The more your adorable virtues are ignored, the more we shall strive to practice them, O Sacred Heart, model of all virtues. The more the sacraments are despised and abandoned, the more we shall receive them with love and respect.

## Intercessory Desire for Souls

The more hell works for the ruin of souls, the more we shall be inflamed with the desire for their salvation.

## Honoring Mary, the Church, and the Fathers

The more sensitivity and pride seek to destroy self‑denial in the spirit of duty, the more we shall grow in mortification and sacrifice. The more blasphemies are uttered against our Mother Mary for the singular privileges you bestowed on her, the more we shall honor her, invoking her as our Mother and Immaculate Virgin. The more the Church and the Holy Fathers are persecuted and humiliated, the more we shall respect them and offer our faithful obedience.

## Closing Petition

O Heart of Jesus, grant that we may become your true disciples and apostles in this life, that we may share in your glory and enjoy eternity.
