> Bill Young leads a meditation on the third Glorious Mystery of the Rosary, focusing on the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Our Lady and the Apostles.

## Invoking the Holy Spirit

Welcome to the 60th episode of Prayer and Lunch. Today we meditate on the third of the Glorious Mysteries: the Coming of the Holy Spirit upon Our Lady and the Apostles. To begin, we pray a prayer given to me by Frank from Father Ernest:

Holy Spirit of the Father and the Son, we adore you; we welcome you in our hearts. With the fire of your love, transform our lives, renew our church, families, and communities. Fill us with peace and joy. Lead us to the truth. Sanctify us, and help us proclaim in words and deeds the good news of Jesus Christ. Amen.

## Intentions for Europe

This mystery corresponds to the color white for Europe. Therefore, today's prayer is dedicated to all our people and our friends in all the countries across Europe.

## The Word of God

For our meditation, we look to Acts 2:1-4: "When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

## Children of God

In heaven, Christ enjoys those who let themselves be guided by the Spirit of God. We have not received a spirit of slavery to bring us back to fear, but rather the Spirit of God, who allows us to become children of God and enables us to cry out, "Abba, Father."

## Prayer and Intercession

We join our hearts in the Our Father and the Hail Mary, asking the Mother of God to pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. We conclude with the Glory Be and the Fatma Prayer: "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of your mercy."

*May all the people of Europe, whether they know Jesus or not, find the risen Christ and come to love God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.*
