# Pray for miracles: day 4
*2015-03-03*

> Bill Young continues the Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Miracles and incorporates special prayers for the family and the Lenten journey.

## A prayer for the family

Since we are in the month of March, which is dedicated to St. Joseph, we begin today by praying the Prayer for the Family written by Pope John Paul II. In this prayer, we ask God, from whom all things come, to grant that every human family on earth may become, through His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, a true sanctuary of life and love. We pray that grace may guide married couples toward the good of their families and that the new generation may find the family to be a strong support for humanity and for growth in truth and love. Through the intercession of the Holy Family of Nazareth, we ask that the Church may fruitfully fulfill her mission in and by means of the family.

## The novena to our lady of miracles

We continue with Day 4 of our Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Miracles. We begin in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. We call upon the Lord to make haste to our aid and offer the Glory Be and the Apostles' Creed, affirming our faith in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

## Seeking grace and humility

In our petitions to Our Lady of Miracles, we acknowledge her presence and the source of grace and blessings she provides. We ask that we may enjoy these benefits and obtain the specific graces for which we pray today. We also reflect on how Mary chose simple and honest people to carry out her will, and we ask her to teach us the humility necessary to obtain God's favors. By rendering our hearts simple and humble, we seek the grace we need today.

## Faith and the hail holy queen

We remember the faith and love of the fathers who built the church in honor of Our Lady of Miracles. Asking her to look upon our own faith and love, we pray for her endless generosity. We conclude this portion of the novena with the Hail Holy Queen, crying out to our Mother of Mercy and our hope, asking her to turn her eyes of mercy toward us and lead us to the blessed fruit of her womb, Jesus.

## The lenten journey

As we continue our Lenten journey, we pray for the strength to give of ourselves and the resolve to turn away from sin. We ask the Lord to help us fast and pray so that we may know Him better and be renewed through this journey, allowing us to share His grace with the world.

*Through humility, faith, and the intercession of the Blessed Mother and the Holy Family, we can find the grace needed for our families and our spiritual renewal during Lent.*
