## A Prayer for Renewal

Welcome to the Prayer N Lunch podcast. Today, we are reflecting on a prayer titled "Come, Spirit of Life." I want to highlight a phenomenal video by Sister Michelle, who provided beautiful music and imagery to accompany these words. The prayer begins with a plea for the Spirit of Life to renew the work of creation, so that we may give birth to a more human and righteous society.

## Guidance for the Church

We ask the Spirit of Knowledge to render the Church wholly obedient to the words of the Gospel, and the Spirit of Grace to transform the Church with holiness, allowing her to truly become the family of the children of God. We further seek the Spirit of Counsel to guide the Church along the way of history, and the Spirit of Mercy to free the Church from the slavery of evil through merciful love.

## Wisdom and Courage

The prayer continues by calling upon the Spirit of Praise to impart wisdom concerning all matters of God, and the Spirit of Fortitude to grant the Church the courage necessary to announce the Gospel of salvation to all people.

## Unity and Eternal Life

We pray for the Spirit of Service to build the Church upon foundations of unity and peace, enabling her to dwell in harmony with the joys and sufferings of all humanity. Finally, we call upon the Spirit of Resurrection; just as You raised Jesus from death, bring all people to eternal life and glory.
