# Carry the Joy of Faith to Everyone
*2014-12-26*

> Bill Young reflects on the final Saturday of Christmas week, urging listeners to keep the light of Christ alive in daily life and share the joy of faith with others.

## Closing the Advent Journey

Good morning, this is Bill Young, and welcome to Prayer and Lunch. Today is the Saturday of Christmas week, the final step of our Advent journey with Christ. Pope Francis reminds us to “carry the joy of faith to everyone.”

## The Mystery of the Incarnation

No one has ever seen God; it is the Only Son, who is close to the Father’s heart, who has made Him known (John 1:18). We have been moved by the wonder of God becoming a child in the manger of Bethlehem, the Son of Mary who humbled Himself for our love.

## Keeping the Light Alive

We must be diligent that this interior light does not fade. In our families, at work, and in every daily encounter, we are called to carry the joy of faith expressed in charity, benevolence, and tenderness.

## Faith as a Vision of Christ

Faith is not merely believing in Christ; it is being united with Him so that we see the world as Jesus sees it. The Son of God makes the Father known to us, opening new and inviting vistas for human experience.

## A Blessing for the New Year

I entrust you and your families to Mary, Mother of God, that she may accompany and sustain you. May you have a peaceful and hopeful year. Let us pray together: “Jesus, help me continue to share your presence with others all year long.” Amen.

*Let the light of Christ shine through you, so that the joy of faith reaches everyone you meet.*
