## Meditation on the Magnificat

Today we reflect on the fourth of the Glorious Mysteries, the Assumption. For our meditation, we look to the words of Mary in Luke 1:46-52: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior. For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaid. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of low degree."

## Rejoicing in Mary's Glorification

In the mystery of the Assumption, we rejoice in the glorification of the mother of Jesus. Let us say with Mary, "I want to praise the Lord for the great things he has done for me. God is my Savior. I am full of joy."

## Prayer and Intercession

We join our hearts in prayer, offering the Our Father and the Hail Marys of the Rosary, asking the Mother of God to pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. We conclude by giving glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

*We are called to rejoice in the glorification of Mary and trust in the mercy of God who exalts the humble.*
