## Prayer for the Sick

Good morning, I’m Bill Young. Before we begin our{...}today’s prayer, I’d like to lift up my friends John and Roseanne. In addition to his chronic illness, John is battling a flu outbreak, and we’re all concerned about the current wave of influenza. We pray for everyone who is ill, for those who have lost loved ones—whether in Mexico, elsewhere in the world, or here in the United States—and for all who are suffering.

## A Marian Prayer

Lord, we sing the praises of Mary every day. Pure and immaculate, may we honor you with sincere hearts. Grant us chastity, modesty, sweetness, and goodness. Fill us with humility and devotion, both shrewd and simple. May we draw knowledge and courage from the Word of God, remain attentive, and shine through good deeds. Holy Virgin, protect us amid the many dangers we face. Sustain us so we may stay steadfast and secure. Bless all Christians, Jews, Muslims, people of faith, and even those without faith; may they turn to you and your Son. Grant us peace that the trials of evil times will not disturb us. Amen.
